Computer Crash

My computer decided to take a hiatus! The disk driver just completely went out. I am now the proud owner of a new disk drive. Of course, that means reinstalling just about everything, and saying good bye to the stuff I didn't back up. Oh well... starting with a clean slate ain't so bad.

I'm just so glad to have my computer back. It really messed up my routine! I did get a few items done for the babies though. So my forced "extra" time did go to good use :)

Mountain Vacation

I had a wonderful time in the mountains. It was just so peaceful. There was no cell phone service or TV so it really was remote. I think I could have sat by the water forever. It was beautiful. Here's a pic of where I spent my weekend.

Once home, I got a call that my son wrecked on his bike. Broke his ankle and arm and it will take a few months before he'll even be able to walk again. I think I'm ready to pack my bags and move to the top of that mountain forever!

Southside Items

I finally finished the afghans and 2 sweaters for Southside. I Love This Yarn finally brought back the pink yarn. They improved the color a lot. I am quite happy with the new pink.

Here's a pic of that one. The pics for the others are on flickr.

The sweaters I made are from BellaBambina... Kelly's overlap sweater, and the knit one is from knittingonthenet.com. It's the top down raglan baby sweater. I changed it a tad by eliminating the seam stitches.

Well, off to get working on more baby items.

Wow! It's May already

I've been playing with the different things I can add to my blog. Did figure out how to add pics from flickr and 2 links to blogs I like!

Still crocheting and knitting away. Kelly will be doing a donation to Southside for Hugs4Hope, and we're hoping to have a good amount to keep them going through the summer. Once I get more blankets done, I'll switch to knitting some sweaters. That's one of my favorite summer time projects. That and knitting socks. There small enough, so it's easier for me in the summer.

Thank you from GMH

I got home from work today, to find the nicest thank you card in my mail box. We (Hugs4Hope) made a donation to them last week.

Going to try to put up a pic of the thank you :)

WORKING HARD

I've been busy working on baby items, but also busy having fun with my grandchildren. Here is a picture of an "angel" outfit I just finished for H4H. The blanket is crocheted using BabyBee Little Britches from Hobby Lobby. Really like this yarn. It is so soft and has little wiggles throughout. It's not too heavy either.. perfect for baby items.

Here's my youngest granddaughter in an outfit her Mom made for her. I think it came out gorgeous! Great Job Nicole!

Sewing

I just finished giving a sewing lesson. Had a great time too. The ladies were eager and that always makes it easier. Looking forward to the next lesson. Didn't get much sewing done here though, but there's always tomorrow. Going to relax and do some crocheting and or knitting. Hopefully, I'll be able to share some of the things I'm working on by the weekend :)
